I’m Jonathan Chin, a software engineer based in New York.
As a software engineer, I am interested in solving problems that will benefit others and the planet. I mostly dabble in the usual Frontend technologies, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. More recently I’ve been using TypeScript on a daily basis.
In my spare time, I enjoy documentary photography and I co-manages a music blog called Cereal + Sounds.
As a photographer, I am interested in capturing the mundane oddities of the everyday through my photos. I am motivated to document New York as-is, seen from the lens of a life-long New Yorker, with a style that tries to blend candid and documentary photography. I draw inspiration from the likes of Garry Winogrand, Jeff Mermelstein, and Helen Levitt.
